Fatty's and Oriki's Attempts to Survive

Sorry for the lack of updates, personally I’ve been running around with my head cut off, dunno about Fatty. D:

This is the island I claimed as my own to build my village on, its improved since I took these screenshots but not by much. D:

Enjoy!

So I decided to take a design from the npc villages and just make it….-sigh- Sandstone…. I hate sandstone, have I mentioned that? It’s so plain on the default texture pack that I’m forced to play with for now.. Oh well, eventually when I can use texture packs again it’ll be beautiful D:> Hopefully..

Anyway, the wall goes all the way around the city now. :D

I was originally gonna go a single tower as a kinda wizardry tower or something, but got excited with laying my first circle properly the first time without messing up and decided to do two towers.

Unfortunately, my attention span was very short with them so they’re still in the last stage you see in the screenshots for now. I’ll find the inspiration to fix them up sooner or later. For now though, they’ll just sit there and think about what they’ve done.

I like to start building from a central point most of the time. And that central point ended up being the well. There was tiers to the city and the lower one was going to be something like a marketplace.

I tried to do a little design with the sandstone and sand in the little clearing for tents but without a texture pack or really good eyesight you can’t really see it.

Fatty eventually came on and I told her to mirror what I was building in the next plot over so it would get done faster and so she could get practice in. It didn’t take long for her to get very bored with it though.

The inside of my finished shop ended up being a bakery with a snowman as it’s owner. That didn’t last long though as an angry creeper who just wanted a cookie and had no cash, blew up a wall and the snowman.. Now a Testificate is watching over the store.

Slowing Down.

Way down. We’re all caught up at this point on screen shots. Like so caught up we have to go on every day just to take a few random screen shots. So we’re reducing the posts-per-day down to one at around noon. I’m sure it’ll be a blessing with how big the updates are on the desktop. It’s a blessing in disguise, we promise. :)

Enjoy! If we happen to come across something amazing we might go back up to two a day but until then it’s gonna stick at one until we get comfortable with the backlog of it all. We have lives too! D: I don’t wanna be stuck on the computer all day taking screen shots of chickens chasing me for a bit of wheat! (I’m lieing.)

But no really, one post a day until further notice folks! :D

I forgot I could use TnT for the more stubborn mounds of sand so I busted it and some redstone torches out and got to work.

Just a few progression screenshots of clearing the land for the new server town. Thank the gods for creative mode’s insta-breaking things..

You can defiantly see the transformation from idea to idea as I trashed one and went to another. Luckily as I went it was only minor changes. And it all turned out pretty okay in the end if I do say so myself. :3

He should be pleased with our efforts to show our appreciation for His efforts. XD He threatened hail on us because Fatty doesn’t know how to speak to a higher being.

We started to clear the land around the well so we could build the temple. At first I wanted to do a pyramid but thought that was a bit too tacky and it wouldn’t have been as big as I’d liked so I trashed that idea. Didn’t like the bigger pillars so went smaller. Then it started to kind of meld into an idea. Kind of. I still don’t know how it’s gonna turn out.. -sigh-

Fatty was supposed to be changing out the obsidian I laid down on the roads but she got distracted so its probably gonna stay like that..

Also, we were playing on creative mode for the temple and Server Town. After all of that is built we’re on our own with resources. The reason being is why take resources from the world for a town we aren’t even really going to be living in? After it’s built we’ll be moving on into the boonies for our own towns and the only reason we’ll be back to Server Town is to make the pilgrimage to the Server God’s Shrine and for trading with the server chests.

I might make a post later on about the economy system that we’re trying out. Remember we’re working without mods so it’s completely player based which gets a bit complicated. :D

We decided we wanted to build the Server God’s Shrine/Temple and Town first before we went off into the boonies to start our own little towns (We’re doing things a bit differently on this world). We went exploring and found this pleasant little slice of land that was completely surrounded by a ring of water. So we claimed it in the name of the Server god.

We then found a little well in a perfect area to build the temple and decided that the well was a Sign. So we cleansed ourselves in the water and began working on the temple first.
